Intro to Mindfulness with Ciara September 2024
This workshop is Onsite
Workshop Description:
Curious about mindfulness, want to reignite your practice or drop into practice to just be present?
Take a morning to appreciate the nature of the wandering mind. Explore how breath, the body and movement can broaden our awareness to be more present in the now, while supporting the mind to settle.
Join us in community to practice mindfulness in a guided sitting practice to quieten the mind. Experience how a body scan can ground us in the present moment. Take time to reawaken the senses as we mindfully walk with nature. Share in reflections around cultivating moments of ease in our everyday lives.
Mindfulness is about consciously paying attention to what is happening in the present moment with an attitude of kind curiosity and acceptance. It can support us to pause, helping us to be less reactive to what is happening around us. Mindfulness can give us space to respond in more helpful ways supporting our well-being and in turn supporting others.
No experience is necessary, everyone is welcome.
Day & Date: Saturday, 28th September 2024

About The Facilitator
Ciara Holland
-
A lifelong learner, with a desire to be healthy and happy. Ciara studied a degree in Humanities as a mature student, is a qualified life and business coach, a chakra dancing facilitator, and a mindfulness teacher.
She has been working within organisational development for over 15 years. She also works in the community facilitating movement and mindfulness.
Her more recent work centres around learning how we can best inhabit our own space: how we can understand our needs better, manage our wellbeing, make more informed choices, flourish and be in better relationship with ourselves and others.
Her experience has been that we have the ability within us to unlock our innate potential, to better serve ourselves and in turn others. Ciara’s reckoning is the journey than can be fun, empowering, enriching, often awkward and transformative.
