Course Description:

Qi Gong ( Energy cultivation ) is the Chinese term used to describe exercises of the body and mind. Qigong comprises of gentle body movement exercises along with breathwork. These movements cultivate health, longevity and a deeper sense of being in our world. Like Yoga in India, Qigong has many different styles and approaches, emphasising different aspects. From the harder or more vigorous martial arts styles, to the softer or more internal/ spiritual styles.

This workshop will involve physical forms which are not difficult to learn and can be practiced by people with varied fitness levels. The main work will be guiding our minds in an internal journey, exploring with curiosity and love what it means to be fully alive. Join Mark on this workshop to deepen familiarity with fundamental Qigong exercises while exploring how they can open up our relationship with ourselves and the outside world.

About The Facilitator

    • Mark Kinghan began his journey 40 years ago, Studying Aikido (Japanese martial art) and Buddhist Vipassana meditation. Since then his curiosity has lead him to learn from many teachers in different systems of training  the mind and body. From Qi gong, Yoga and meditation to Vision quests and Sun dances in the Americas. He has been teaching Qi gong since 2000, and Yoga since 2014.

      The inner journey has always been his passion, and sharing the journey his greatest joy.

      Currently he is living in Wicklow enjoying a quiet life, teaching and practicing Chinese medicine.
