This course is ONLINE

Course Description:

This is a very important annual event, and the Sanctuary are delighted to offer this online workshop on the day in support of mental well-being.

The World Health Organization highlights that World Mental Health Day (October 10) aims to “raise awareness of mental health issues globally and mobilise efforts in support of mental well-being.”

In our fast-paced world, we are constantly bombarded by distractions and demands for attention, which can strain our mental health. Taking a step back from these pressures to engage in mindfulness and meditation offers a valuable way to restore balance and improve mental well-being.

This online class is designed to guide you in reflecting on your own mental health care, with a special focus on mindfulness and meditation as tools for cultivating peace and balance. We will explore both formal and informal mindfulness practices, emphasising how these can be seamlessly integrated into your daily routine without becoming yet another task on your to-do list.

Whether you’re new to mindfulness and meditation or have some familiarity, this class offers a gentle introduction that is accessible to all. It can serve as your first step into these practices or as a refreshing opportunity to reignite a lapsed practice and rediscover their profound benefits.

In addition, you will learn practical techniques to incorporate mindfulness into everyday activities, fostering a deeper connection with the present moment. This class is also an opportunity for those looking to reignite or deepen their practice, allowing them to experience the benefits of mindfulness in a supportive environment.

By the end of the session, you’ll have tools to help sustain your mental health through mindful living, helping you find peace amid the demands of daily life.
