All of the great spiritual traditions use story telling as a tool to deepen awareness and enter the path of transformation. In this workshop we will look at the place and power of story and the creative imagination in mindful practice and in our individual lives through working with some of the ancient story maps and the great story tellers.

About the Facilitator

Brother Richard

Brother Richard is a priest-friar of the Irish branch of the Capuchin Franciscan Order who authored the viral poem ‘Lockdown’ and the best seller Still Points: A Guide to Living the Mindful, Meditative Way. His second book, calming the storms: Meditation as a Path to Inner Peace and Happiness was recently published. For over 20 years he has worked to bring the insights of the Christian Contemplative tradition to greater public awareness, particularly with reference to modern Mindfulness theory. He has worked with the Sanctuary for many years developing many courses and trainings particularly for young people and their teachers.
